Deuce is a pickleball app for the part of the sport nobody built software for: getting the right people on a court, on purpose, more than once.

Why it exists

Open play is easy. You turn up, you put your paddle in the rack, you get four games with whoever is next. That is a good evening and it is not practice. The moment you want to actually work on something, a third shot drop, resets off a hard drive, cross court dinks with someone who will hit two hundred of them with you, the logistics get absurd. You are texting nine people one at a time to fill one court. Three answer, two flake, and you end up back in open play. Another week goes by with no good reps in.

That problem is not a court shortage and it is not a coaching shortage. It is scheduling specific people, repeatedly, forever. It is boring, it never ends, and it is the reason most players plateau at the level their pickup group happens to be.

What it does

You add the people you already play with, say which blocks of the week you can get on court, and post a session once. Your people tap in, the court and time lock, and everyone gets a reminder. Every session ends with a confirmation: did this happen, did everyone show. That builds a record of who actually turns up, which is the single most useful thing to know before you commit to a weekly slot with someone.

Drilling is the default, not an afterthought. Games are in there too, but a rec game and a drilling session are genuinely different things to organise, and Deuce treats them that way.

Who built it

One player, on personal time. Not a studio, not a venture backed team, and not people who had the idea after reading about the sport. The features exist in the order they exist because they solve the problems that actually came up on a court.

That has a real upside and a real cost. The upside is that nothing is in here to satisfy a growth chart, and you can email the person who wrote the code. The cost is that it is one pair of hands, so it is in a small invite beta while it earns the right to be otherwise.

For clubs and organizers

If you run a club, a ladder, or the group chat that somehow became your job, there is a page for you: clubs and organizers. It is free, it stays free, and what we ask for is feedback.

What we will not do

No ads. Your data is never sold. No third party analytics and no tracking calls in the app. You can delete your account any time and it is gone for good, not hidden. Your drilling journal stays private to you. All of that is written into the privacy policy in plain language, so you can hold us to it.
